Q1. How will I be charged for the
text messages that I receive?
A1. The job alerts that you receive will be billed directly to you by your network provider, at a maximum cost of 50 pence each (including VAT). These will be displayed as text messages received on your network providers’ bill.
Q2. How does the registration
process work?
A2. The registration process commences on the Registration page and the following steps must take place to conclude the contract between yourself and TextMeAJob.com (this is only available in the English language):
i. You must complete all of the required fields on the Registration page, accept the Terms and Conditions, and click on the Registration button. If the fields have been entered correctly you will receive a message indicating that your registration has been accepted and that a Registration Code has been sent to the mobile telephone number that you entered.
ii. To complete the registration, when you have received the unique 3 digit registration code to your mobile phone, you must return to the TextMeAJob.com site and Login with your mobile number and password.
iii. When you Login for the first time you will be prompted to enter the unique 3 digit code, only by entering this code (case sensitive) correctly will you complete the registration process and conclude the contract between yourself and TextMeAJob.com. When this has been done your job requirements will be matched against all jobs posted by recruitment agencies, and where a match occurs a text message will be sent to your mobile phone.
Q3. How do I amend my details
registered with TextMeAJob.com?
A3. Login to your account (from the Home page or the Login page) using your mobile phone number and password. This will display all of your details held by TextMeAJob.com. All of these may be amended (except your mobile phone number) by changing them on the page and then clicking the Update button.
Q4. I have not received any
messages recently, why is this?
A4. This can be for two reasons:
i. There have been no jobs posted to the TextMeAJob.com site which match your criteria of Location and Job Type
ii. Your account message balance has reduced to zero, meaning that we will not send you any more messages. In order to update your message balance please log on to your account and update as required (see FAQ 3).
Q5. How do I stop receiving text
messages?
A5. Login to your account (from the Home page or the Login page) using your mobile phone number and password. This will display all of your details held by TextMeAJob.com. Click on the Stop Receiving Messages button.
Q6. I have changed my mobile phone number how do I reflect this in my TextMeAJob.com details?
A6. Unfortunately it is not possible to amend your mobile phone number. You must stop receiving messages to your old mobile phone number (see FAQ 5), and re-register your new mobile phone number by following the Registration process (see FAQ 2).
Q7. What happens if my mobile
telephone is a pre-pay?
A7. If you have credit on your account then the cost of any messages received by you will be debited to the account. If there are insufficient funds in the account then the message will not be delivered.
Q8. When will I receive
TextMeAJob.com messages?
A8. Jobs are posted to the TextMeAJob.com site during normal work day hours (i.e. not weekends and bank holidays), therefore you can expect to receive messages during the normal work day. TextMeAJob.com processes job postings in real-time mode, therefore you get to hear about a suitable job seconds after the job is posted.
Q9. What do I do if I have
forgotten my password?
A9. Send a message containing your full name and mobile phone number to Support@TextMeAJob.com a representative will contact you about your password.
Q10. How does the Location
selection work?
A10. You have the option of selecting individual counties (e.g. Buckinghamshire), individual countries (e.g. All of England), or “All of UK”. Additionally you may select multiple counties (as many as you wish) by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on the counties you wish to select (e.g. Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire). Jobs that match both your Job Type selection and your Location selections will then be sent to you, if your account message balance is greater than zero. If you select “All of England” you are requesting jobs to be sent to you for all the counties in England. If you select “All of UK” you are requesting jobs to be sent to you for all of the counties in the UK (i.e. for countries England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland). TextMeAJob.com receives job postings from many sources so please be aware that if you select a country or “All of UK” that you may receive many messages to your mobile phone.
Q11. Can I register a mobile
phone to receive jobs from more than one industry sector?
A11. No, unfortunately it is not possible to receive jobs from more than one industry sector on one mobile phone number and if you try to do this you will receive an error message during the registration process.
Q12. Can I switch my registration
from one industry sector to another?
A12. It is not possible for you to do this, but if you contact us at Support@TextMeAJob.com then we will arrange this for you.
Q13. How do I post jobs to the TextMeAJob.com site so that appropriate Job Hunters will receive text messages informing them of the vacancy?
A13. Please contact TextMeAjob.com by accessing the Recruiters page, completing the information requested, and clicking the Send button. A TextMeAJob.com representative will then contact you.
